| Alright. I know I owe everyone an apology and I'll start with that.
Next, I'm trying to figure out if I should just come out and say it or what exactly I should do. (So much stress, so many decisions) See? These are a couple of the problems with my blogging life. (notice I just said "a couple") Another is there is just not enough time to keep up with it and then everybody is bashing Zack in the comments box for weeks until I update. (well deserved I know, but that's beside the point) Anyway, here is the point... since I just can't keep up with it, among other issues, I am just going to have to stop blogging. Now for all you "hard-core clazic blog checkers" (ha, right... wishful thinking of course) I know this is a disappointment. I am going to have to say goodbye for at least a few... years, or decades. I'll have to wait until I have something more interesting to blog about than school and work. Know what I mean?
(I'll end as I started) Alright, here it is...
Good bye, God bless and Happy New Year!
Zack
P.S. (Sorry, I don't think it can get any cornier)
| It's really kind of embarrassing to have my first attempt at breaking into the blogging sphere be a complete bust, but I'm praying that most of you will get over it and the therapy I am doing will pull me out of this blogging "slump." (jk)
I'll just start by telling you what's going on at the Clark abode. I like to think about living in the "fast lane" as living life to its fullest, and this means fitting in every possible activity while still keeping up with school and the important things in life (priorities...). In any case, we have been blessed by being able to do so much in the past couple of months. After being gone all the time it's nice to be home and enjoy some wholesome Christian fellowship. Do you know what I mean?
In my previous post (albeit nearly a month ago) I mentioned that football had started and that I was coaching. Rather quickly I discovered that coaching is completely different than actually being on the field, and I like the being on the field part much better. Although, anything that will get me on the field is fine by me and that's exactly what coaching does. By the way, getting a pair of pads so I could better help coach just didn't fly... Coach looked at me like I was from another planet. He said "Son, they have passed you by." It's a little different getting older, there are good things about it and then some downright not fun things about it, but it's all part of growing up. I knew these days were coming soon...
We have been going to Canyon Lake quite a bit to do wakeboarding and tubing. My whole family loves being on the lake, but it has been a chore to get our whole family going in the same direction at the same time. With all the bad weather, we have not been able to go as much as we would have liked, but we have plenty of memories from the few times we have gone.
This post is dragging on, so I will cut it off here. Maybe if I get the hang of this I won't have to post such long epistles. I was going to post some pictures, but I realized that I don't have any that pertain to what I posted about. I'll put some up if and when I get some.

| Hello all,
I have to say that I have been a little (A lot) delinquent in the blogging world and I promise to do better in the future. (man... I just apologized, lol) Anyway, I thought I'd give you the "low down" of our recent trip.
We went to Wisconsin for our tri-annual family reunion and had a great time. The accommodations were extremely nice and had a wonderful view of the lake (forgot the name...). My uncle brought his boat up from Illinois and we enjoyed two days of tubing and wake-boarding before we were able to render the boat inoperable. We very skillfully beached the boat on a shallow sandbar and broke the throttle cable in the process. We always joke that our family is a perfect example of the Grizwalds. For some reason, this type of thing happens to us whenever we are together... maybe the Lord is trying to teach us something. No boat means no tubing or wake-boarding. We were all pretty bummed, but we got creative and... just sat by the pool and played volleyball. We had a blast and, of course, it is always good to see family that we only see every three years.
On another topic, football starts today and I can't wait! Yes, I am too old to play, but am going to try my hand at coaching. I am excited, to say the least, and still hoping that coach will loan me a pair of pads ( I doubt that this will come about ) so I can better teach the team that getting hit is really an honor (one which I will gladly bestow upon them) and not something they should be afraid of.
Have a great week! | | |
| Well, we had a great trip! We are back safely and I am really enjoying sleeping in my own bed. Here's a little recount of the, shall I say, "comical" trip home. We began the trip by, again, cramming into our rental car... but this time it was "old hat." It only took twenty minutes to get in the car rather than forty five. We decided to stop at a waterfall that was on the way to the airport. This sounds easy... but not for the Clarks! Driving nearly three times the distance back and forth on the same road (passing the turn off multiple times) and asking directions from two different people (asking for directions, I think, is humbling for a man) before we found it! We finally found it and it was, of course, beautiful (and even moreso standing in the rain ). There is a little incident that occurred after the waterfall escapade that just can't be done justice on a blog post... so next time you see me, ask me about it. That should get those "curiousity juices" flowing. Arriving at the airport, we got through customs and grabbed a quick bite to eat and just barely made the flight. Whew! Now, it was hurry and wait while they fixed a problem on the plane that "should only take fifteen to twenty minutes" they said. Well this twenty minutes turned into an hour and a half of sitting on plane while it was at the gate. Not fun... Finally we took off and the four hour and forty minute flight went by... well... let's just say that time spent on an airplane for me is not cherished and looked forward to, but I lived, and really it was a small price to pay for all the fun we had on the trip. During the flight they informed us that we had missed our connecting flight into San Antonio (not surprising) and that they would put us on the next flight to San Antonio (which would leave two hours after we landed in Houston). That was fine, we had a nice meal and were then off to San Antonio on a quick thirty-six minute flight. I was sitting in the row behind my dad on the plane and noticed him making funny blowing sounds and holding his computer in front of his face. "How strange," I thought. So I asked him, "Hey dad! What are you doing?" He said, "I would really rather not discuss it right now." Of course he was joking, but was trying to cover up the fact that he had managed to spill "about nine ounces," as he put it, of coffee right directly onto the keyboard of his computer. He tried to boot it up after he did his best to dry it off and the green light came on and then turned off. "Not good," he thought, so he tried again. Now it didn't do anything. The computer would not respond to anything. He gave up and just put it away. So far the night was shaping up well, and thankfully this was the last fatal accident we had the rest of the journey. Today, the computer actually started right up and amazingly enough is running well, though it does have the rather aromatic smell of coffee.
So there you are, a "run down" of the Clark's trek home and Praise the Lord we are all in one piece! As my brother pointed out while at the airport, you really can't grasp the thought, trauma, joy, laughter, moments of excruciating pain, wonderful memories, and the plain old fashioned experience that goes into the Clark style of "globe-trotting." Many of you know what I am talking about, but those of you who don't, just start praying now for the time that you might just have to travel with the Clark clan.
I think that wraps up the blogging for a while and hopefully I'll get to see some of you before we leave for our family reunion next Sunday! Have a great week!
